Meet Our Board Of Directors

Cleve Burley
Health Safety Environmental Professional

A native of Mobile, Alabama, Cleve Burley brings his passion to the board.   A graduate of Alabama State University with a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice coupled with his previous occupation as a correctional officer,  this has definitely added to his experiences in dealing with residents within the correctional system.  He also served as a Parole/Probation Officer within the state of Mississippi, which has allowed him the opportunity to be of service to ex-offenders.   He definitely has an understanding from a social service employee viewpoint of the trials and tribulations of  reintegrating ex-offenders back into society.

He is a stellar volunteer in the community, which is exemplified by his service on various boards, and being an athletic specialist for the Boys and Girls Club of America.   He is definitely about the community, and believes in uplifting of all within the community.

James E Davis Jr
Executive Director/Founder

A native of Little Rock, Arkansas, James brings the original idea and foundation to the board of Becoming One Community.   He is a firm believer in successfully empowering the Foundation’ participants (clients, staff, and volunteers) by implementing the Foundation’s ideology.  His experiences both personal and professional are his contribution to the board.

An avid supporter of community oriented programs that involves empowerment of individuals, he definitely has a passion for improving lives of those recently released from incarceration.  His desire to be a catalyst in the lives of those that desire is important tool in the functioning of this organization.   His personal mantra is “To be a contribution that empowers others!”

Michaela Price, P.E.
Energy Consultant

Michaela Price, P.E.  has over 20 years of industry experience having worked across all parts of the energy value chain.  She is currently working as an independent consultant providing expertise on the full cycle energy industry in the areas of supply and demand economics, operations, supply chain & logistics, project management, strategy and portfolio management and emerging technologies.

In previous assignments, Ms. Price has held a number of leadership positions in business development, project management, investment appraisal, strategy, and operations primarily in the natural gas and upstream business segments.  She has led strategy development and portfolio management for worldwide LNG ventures; managed engineering and operations in the NGL business; and chaired global corporate business development councils responsible for long-term value creation.  In the non-profit sector, Michaela has served as an executive committee member on the board of directors and developed and delivered content for program/operational design, fundraising, board selection and development, financial management, and personal & professional development.

A native of Houston, Texas, Michaela holds a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and has obtained her MBA through Rice University’s MBA for Executives program.  She is a registered professional engineer with the State of Texas.
